Our team
The people behind AnFiTest
A mission-driven science and engineering team building better diagnostic tools for animal health.

Henrietta
Founder & Managing DirectorWith a background in engineering and design, Henrietta has grown up immersed in the equine and agricultural sectors. She is an Arkwright Engineering Scholar and multiple award recipient in science and engineering, and brings a strong interest in business and finance to the company's strategy, shaping a practical and commercially focused approach to innovation.

Sophie
R&D DirectorSophie completed her DPhil in Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Oxford, specialising in spectroelectrochemical studies of enzyme systems, before conducting postdoctoral research at the University of York. She brings nearly a decade of academic R&D experience to the team, drawing on her expertise in electrochemical systems and experimental development to lead our bio and electrochemical sectors of the project. Outside of work, you'll often find her playing cricket or befriending any dog she can find.

Tyler
Junior BiochemistTyler completed an MSci in Biochemistry at Newcastle University, focusing on assay development and optimisation during the latter stages of his degree, particularly in the context of disease. Finding a stark resemblance between AnFiTest's goals and what initially drew him into the field, Tyler is excited by the opportunity to contribute to the R&D team while growing alongside it.

SurgoTech, Jack & Tom
Software DevelopersSurgoTech Solutions are our software development partners and are building the MVP app for AnFiTest. They work closely with our team, helping turn our ideas into a practical, user friendly product that will play a key role in bringing the AnFiTest vision to life.
Keiron
InternNewcastle University mechanical engineering intern focusing on sample preparation engineering.
Maia
InternNewcastle University undergraduate and marketing strategy intern.
Interdisciplinary innovation
Our team brings together expertise across science, engineering, and animal health. United by a shared mission to improve welfare outcomes, we work collaboratively to develop diagnostic solutions that can make a real difference in the lives of animals and the people who care for them.
